The Adopt-a-Highway program is a roadside clean-up program that promotes pride and local ownership in Washington's highways.

Vit Plant employees adopted a two-mile section of Highway 240, near Twin Bridges Road, from 2004 through 2008, picking up trash along the roadway several Saturdays throughout the year.
