The American Cancer Society is a leading cancer-fighting organization with a vision to end cancer as we know it. The organization aims to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has the opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer. The Tri-Cities office is now closed; however, the national organization is still active.

American Cancer Society Relay for Life Sponsor

Bechtel was a sponsor for the American Cancer Society's annual Relay for Life event for ten years. In 2012, the Vit Plant team was one of the top fundraisers for the event, raising $6,683. The event was last held in the Tri-Cities in 2015.

American Cancer Society Daffodil Days Supporter

Starting in 2004, the Vit Plant supported the American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days fundraiser for six years, selling daffodil bouquets to employees in the spring. As of 2009, the Vit Plant had raised an estimated $20,000.
