American Red Cross

The Central and Southeastern Washington American Red Cross is the leading disaster relief organization. It serves Adams, Benton, Franklin, Yakima, Kittitas, Walla Walla, Columbia, Garfield, and Asotin counties. Nationwide, every eight minutes, someone affected by disaster is helped by donations to the Red Cross, whether a wildfire, flood, or home fire.

American Red Cross Turkey Trot Sponsor

Bechtel has been a sponsor for the annual Turkey Trot fundraiser for Central and Southeastern Washington American Red Cross since 2005. As of 2023, Bechtel has donated nearly $30,000 to the Turkey Trot.

American Red Cross Blood Drive Host

As of 2023, the Vit Plant has hosted more than 70 blood drives since 2004, which have collected over 2,300 units of blood.

American Red Cross COVID-19 PPE Donor

In 2021, Bechtel donated $5,000 of COVID-19 personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline workers when supply chains were strained.



American Red Cross Wildfire Response Donor

In 2020, Bechtel donated $10,000 to aid in wildfire response around Washington State.
