Bikes for Tikes

Bikes for Tikes partners with the Local 598 Plumbers and Pipefitters union to provide bicycles to community organizations in the Pacific Northwest. Bicycles are then distributed to families in crisis, special needs children, and as incentives for performance in nationally ranked education programs.

Our Support

Bikes for Tikes Annual Campaign Donor

The Bikes for Tikes organization was born in 2015 at the Vit Plant when two pipefitters challenged their co-workers to donate bikes to the Vit Plant's annual Toys for Tots campaign. As of 2022, Bechtel has donated more than $20,000 to Bikes for Tikes campaign in December.

Bikes for Tikes Annual Bike Build Volunteers

Vit Plant employees volunteer for the Bikes for Tikes annual bike build at the Three Rivers Convention Center. In 2022, more than 600 volunteers from the Tri-Cities area, including Vit Plant employees, built about 1,600 bikes.

Bikes for Tikes Donor

In 2021, 2022, and 2023, the Vit Plant donated $5,000 to Bikes for Tikes in addition to their regular campaign contributions in December, for a total of $15,000.
