The Gateway to Richland beautification project was completed in October 2008. Volunteers spread topsoil and bark, laid sod, placed landscape fabric, and planted bushes. The Gateway is located on George Washington Way.

Gateway to Richland Donor and Volunteers

In 2008, the Bechtel Group Foundation donated to the city of Richland to enhance the Gateway to Richland area on George Washington Way. In celebration of Bechtel National, Inc.'s 30th anniversary, the Bechtel Group Foundation donated $28,000 to the city from its Community Involvement Grant. The Gateway was one of three projects funded by the donation.
