Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce

Bechtel has supported and has been a member of the Tri-Cities Regional Chamber of Commerce since it was founded in 2005 after the Richland and Kennewick chambers merged. 

Bechtel has sponsored the Tri-Cities Women in Business Conference for several years. In 2023, Bechtel was the premier sponsor for the event.  Vit Plant Project Director Brian Hartman welcomed more than 600 attendees to the conference, and spoke about the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion and female leaders.

Bechtel has sponsored the Tri-Cities Regional Chamber of Commerce's Legislative Day and Elected Leaders Reception for more than a decade. The events empower attendees to foster conversations about issues that are important to local businesses with government officials.

Bechtel has sponsored the Tri-Cities Diversity Summit, where attendees share ideas with, and learn from, fellow community members about building diverse teams and partnering for an inclusive workforce. Bechtel provided guest speakers for the summit in 2018 and 2021.
