Boys and Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties

Bechtel has established a long partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties, regularly sponsoring their annual fundraiser since 2004.

In 2023, Bechtel donated $10,000 for college tours for the Boys and Girls Clubs. The college tour program provides teens the opportunity to see colleges and universities across the Northwest and explore firsthand the opportunities are available to them after graduation.

Bechtel donated $10,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties in 2022 to provide mental health programs for middle and high schoolers. The programs included Girls Circle, Queen Talk, and the Council for Boys and Young Men. These programs are designed to give youth opportunities to talk about friendships, self esteem, and gender role expectations in a safe and respectful environment.

Bechtel donated $15,000 over two years to fund the Boys and Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties participation in the FIRST Robotics Competition. The FIRST Robotics Competition challenges students to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against competitors.

In 2008, Bechtel volunteers helped turn a warehouse area into a performing space at the Boys and Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties Music and Arts Center in Kennewick.

In 2007, the Bechtel Women's Group raised $23,000 to purchase a van for the Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties. The 15-passenger van was delivered to Kiona Benton Elementary School.

In 2003, the Bechtel Women's Group donated more than $41,000 to the Boys and Girls Club Los Amigos Musicos Program in Pasco. The money was used to purchase instruments, replacing borrowed and homemade instruments that were being used. 

In 2001, the Bechtel Women's Group raised nearly $40,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties. The funds were used to renovate the club's kitchen in Pasco, Wash.
